If his apologetic behaviour was generally well received by his fans and members of the music industry, some others did not hesitate to criticise him anyway. Louis Tomlinson condemned Bieber’s decision during a radio interview, saying that he should have followed things through and that after all, there were only fifteen concerts left. He pointed out how this situation was unfair to his fans, because he wouldn’t have gotten anywhere without their support.

“Obviously, you have to be in a good position mentally, but I also think, to a certain degree, when you’re signing up to something, you should see it through,” Tomlinson said. “There’s never enough that I can say or do for the fans. At the end of the day, it’s the people who are buying the records that are putting you where you are.”
