Following an explosive final performance in Las Vegas as part of her four-year residency, Britney Spears is expected to announce tour dates very soon. On 22nd December, she was confirmed as headliner for Denmark’s Smukfest music festival.
All signs point towards an upcoming tour
After being Las Vegas’ hottest ticket for four years, Britney Spears is expected to go back on the road this year. The singer confirmed European shows would be on the agenda after being announced as headliner at Denmark’s Smukfest music festival in August.
The pop icon hasn’t performed on our shores since her one-off London appearance as part of the 2016 Apple Music festival so this really is big news for Britney fans and would be a spectacular start to this year. Her latest album, “Glory”, was praised across the board and tipped as the singer’s most involved and engaged record in over a decade.
“Britney: Live in Concert” is the singer’s ninth concert tour largely mirroring her Las Vegas residency show. With her “Britney: Piece of Me” residency show announced for Denmark next summer, might we be so optimistic to expect further European and UK dates either side of the festival appearance?
