Beyoncé has just announced her upcoming collaboration on the remix of Willy William and J Balvin’s hit single “Mi Gente”. All proceeds will go to hurricane relief charities.
“Toda mi gente se mueve”
After announcing a huge benefit concert for the victims of the hurricane that hit the United States a couple of weeks ago and volunteering in her hometown Houston, Beyoncé continues her effort to help disaster victims with an unexpected collaboration.
Queen B decided to team up with the Colombian and French duo, J Balvin and Willy William who skyrocketed to success this summer with their hit “Mi Gente”. With more than 890 million views on YouTube, their multi-national single quickly travelled the world, reaching the top of the international charts. She revealed her project in an Instagram post, indicating that all the proceeds from their remix of the song would be going to charities working on the ground in Mexico, the Caribbean, Florida and Texas.
Many of her fans applauded her mobilisation for the victims with enthusiastic messages on social media. Beyoncé proves us once again that fame and wealth can also be used for a good cause.
