On the road with their acclaimed “Humanz” album released earlier this year, the headline set of Damon Albarn’s animated band at London’s O2 on Monday night was packed full of guest appearances. After having worked with Noel Gallagher on the “Humanz” track, “We Got The Power”, the “Who Built the Moon?” singer joined Gorillaz on stage to provide vocals.
When the album was released Albarn talked about the collaboration, which also featured Savages singer Jehnny Beth, saying “he’s really musical, he’s got a great tone to his voice and he’s funny as s***”.

Also joining Gorillaz on stage in London was Shaun Ryder and Roses Ragbor on the huge “Demon Dayz” single “DARE”. Other special live guest appearances included Vince Staples, De La Soul, Bootie Brown, Peven Everett, Hypnotic Brass Ensemble and Pusha T, all of whom collaborated on the album. Another highlight of the gig was rapper Little Simz appearing for her vocals on the recently released surprise single, “Garage Palace”.
