As the follow-up to their 2014 “Nikki Nack”, Tune-Yards had a rebranding and regrouping this year and announced their upcoming album, “I can feel you creep into my private life”. They have unveiled the second track, “ABC 123”.
“I can feel you creep into my private life” out 19th January
Sharing the song on social media for fans to discover, Tune-Yards have released their second new track this year entitled “ABC 123”. Following the previously released “Look at Your Hands”, the new track is foot-tappingly energetic and already has an original stop-motion video to accompany it.
This one has elements of Haitian percussion, lots of lyrics for you to untangle, and we’re hoping Sesame Street invites us to play it on their show. #Dreams. Mostly we hope you dance to it.
Tune-Yards (previously stylised as tUnE-yArDs) is the project of Merrill Garbus who draws her influence from a massive range of influences using lots of loop pedals, ukulele, soaring vocals and lo-fi percussion. Nate Brenner, who is now an official bandmember, provides bass. The duo’s last album, “Nikki Nack” received universal acclaim for its innovative catchy melodies and dance beats.
The pair are currently on tour in North America and have five UK concert dates in March next year which you can see on their official website.
