The Newcomer: All Points East, London

For its inaugural edition, All Points East’s line-up is seriously star-studded. On the bill for Victoria Park’s newest festival is The xx, LCD Soundsystem, Beck, Björk, Lorde and Glass Animals. Best Abroad: Mad Cool Festival, Madrid

With a stellar line-up this year, Madrid’s Mad Cool Festival is the place to be next July. Already announced to be taking the stage are Queens Of The Stone Age, Nine Inch Nails, Rag’n’Bone Man, Kasabian, MGMT, Massive Attack and Sampha. Need we say more?

The Glasto replacement: The Biggest Weekend, UK wide

Next year, and next year only, the BBC will be bringing the biggest artists in the world to all parts of the UK with live shows in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland across the May bank holiday weekend (25-28th May). 175,000 tickets will be made available to the British public. The rock mecca: Download Festival, Leicestershire

If rock is your thing and metal is your jam, look no further than Download’s 2018 line-up. Avenged Sevenfold, Guns N’ Roses, Ozzy Osbourne, Marilyn Manson, Bullet For My Valentine, The Hives, and many more are set to take to the stage of Britain’s favourite heavy metal festival.
