Lana Del Rey to direct “Cherry” music video all by herself

If we’re talking about Lana Del Rey’s music videos, nothing is done by halves. After being turned down by various directors, she has decided to work on her upcoming video by herself.

Standing on her own two feet

Apparently, Lana Del Rey’s tastes don’t always have the unanimous approval of her directors. Invited to the 2017 edition of the MTV EMA Awards, the singer opened up about upcoming projects and among them, the shooting of the music video for her latest single “Cherry”. During an interview with MTV News, she confessed that she might direct the music video on her own.

I spoke to a few different directors about ideas I had, and nobody liked any of them. So I think I might do it myself for ‘Cherry’. Maybe with my sister Chuck.

Even after being turned down by various directors, Lana Del Rey is not ready to give up on her ideas just yet. Indeed, the best way for her to express her creativity would be to direct her music videos herself free from any artistic constraints.

Lana Del Rey never ceases to amaze her fans, and we wish her all the best for her future projects. After the stunning “White Mustang” video, we can’t wait to see what her next visual will be.
