Almost a year to the day after her departure from Fifth Harmony, Camila Cabello’s debut solo album has been announced for a January release. Her first single from the album went to No1 in eight countries.
“Camila” arriving 12th January
Camila Cabello announced her departure from Fifth Harmony last December. Now, one year on, there are no regrets. She launched her solo career with “Crying in the Club” in May which debuted in the Top20 in the UK. Following it up was “Havana”, the lead single for Cabello’s debut solo album, later to be announced as “Camila”.
The release date for “Camila” has now been unveiled. Hitting shelves and streaming platforms on 12th January, we’re expecting great things. After co-producing “Havana” alongside Benny Blanco (Ed Sheeran, Maroon 5, Kesha), OneRepublic vocalist Ryan Tedder and Pharrell Williams, there’s a good chance there will be some exciting collaborations on “Camila”.
The album was originally titled “The Hurting. The Healing. The Loving” with Cabello describing the record as her “story of the journey from darkness into light” saying that the whole album-writing process had helped her deal with her emotions. With the album just around the corner, we can expect to hear a tour announcement very soon. Stay tuned.
