Boardmasters 2018: impressive first acts announced

The first acts have been announced for the 2018 edition of Boardmasters, Cornwall’s hugely popular surf and music festival. Featuring on the stellar line-up are The Chemical Brothers and Craig David.

Taking place next Summer from 8th-12th August in Cornwall, Boardmasters festival 2018 is set to be huge. The Chemical Brothers have been confirmed as next year’s headline act closing the festival’s Saturday night run of concerts. The prolific electronic music duo’s latest release was in 2016 with the single, “C-H-E-M-I-C-A-L”, which premiered on BBC Radio 1.

They will be joined by The Horrors, Craig David and Radio 1 DJ Annie Mac. Also announced for next year are The Amazons, Fat Freddy’s Drop, Declan McKenna, Tom Walker, Sam Fender and Bicep.

Boardmasters Festival Director, Andrew Topham said the following about the announcement.

We are delighted to announce The Chemical Brothers as our first headline act. Boardmasters’ unique fusion of the very best in international surfing and music helps to keep Cornwall firmly on the map as the festival sees unprecedented growth year on year. We can’t wait to welcome our incredible community.
