Belle and Sebastian have decided to go against the grain for their next set of new music. They announced plans for an EP trilogy to be released in instalments. The band also released a new song, “I’ll Be Your Pilot”.

“How To Solve Our Human Problems”

For their next release of new music, Belle and Sebastian plan to unveil three EPs in three instalments. Under the umbrella name of “How To Solve Our Human Problems”, they will release their first EP on 8th December with subsequent releases on 19th January and 16th February. It’s an original way to release new music.

Belle and Sebastian’s last album was 2015’s “Girls in Peacetime Want to Dance”, and it seems as though the band are going back to their early glory days when they released a series of EPs in 1997, a year after their second album, “If You’re Feeling Sinister”. The album is widely considered as the Scottish band’s career masterpiece.

Earlier this year, frontman Stuart Murdoch and his band released a new track, “We Were Beautiful”, which they have now followed up with the new nostalgic, mellow “I’ll Be Your Pilot”, which will feature on the second upcoming EP due to be released in mid-January. The announcement of the EP trilogy was accompanied with the cover art of all three records. They feature 12 images of fans that the band chose after Stuart Murdoch invited fans to a North London studio for a photography project. You can listen to the new single and see the cover art just below.
