Having quit school when his track “Faded” hit it big in 2015, DJ Alan Walker has gone from strength to strength. His new track “Spectre” is a rework of an instrumental he originally released in 2015 and it’s his way of thanking his most loyal fans.

A rework of his 2015 original

Alan Walker has never been short of material. He has reworked some of the biggest songs over the past few years including Miley Cyrus’ “Malibu” and Bruno Mars’ song “That’s What I Like”. This time however, he chose to cover himself.

He has released a remake of an instrumental track he originally released in 2015. “The Spectre” is the DJ’s way of saying thanks to his fans for their support over the years. It might sound familiar to hardcore fans, he’s been performing it as part of his sets recently.

Walker has enjoyed a rapid rise to fame kickstarted by his 2015 song “Faded”. Two years on and his YouTube channel has the most subscribers registered in his home-country Norway. Earlier this year, he released “Ignite” which went on to feature as part of Sony’s Experia XZ launch and in May, “Tired” featured Walker’s first ever song with a male vocalist.

With over 6 millions already on YouTube, the newly released “The Spectre” is an energetic electro track that certainly wakes up the listener. Give it a listen.
